We are looking for a stellar Indoctrination Specialist to serve as an ambassador for Stone Brewing Co. while providing guests with interpretive tours of the facility and hosting guided tasting sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively across the organization to understand needs and opportunities then develop and lead the implementation of Purchasing strategies to address direct, indirect, and MRO spend opportunities. 
  • Formalize, consolidate, and standardize company-wide purchasing processes, tools, and controls.  Establish policies and procedures for Purchasing to ensure common best practices and procedures.
  • Perform comprehensive category spend analysis, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead initiatives to execute and implement improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in supply base in line with commodity/category strategy. Utilize formal benchmarking methods to determine best in class processes.
  • Lead the transformation of sourcing strategies with the objective of optimizing total cost while improving service levels. 
  • Manage purchasing processes within the Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP system.
  • Establish and maintain regular cadence for review and update of strategies, negotiation roadmaps, supplier scorecards, lead times, capacities, contracts, and performance metrics for total cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Develop and implement cost-reduction programs through the use of should-cost modeling, value stream integration, and supplier competition.
  • Develop and foster relationships with key suppliers, negotiate and administer contracts. 
  • Implement inventory optimization programs (as applicable) to optimize inventory turns, inventory investment and service level performance.
  • Be acknowledged as an expert internally and externally for all Purchasing and supply chain issues.
  • Mentor key players and develop systems to ensure ongoing process improvement.

  • Solid grasp of project management skills.  Proficiency with project management tools including Microsoft Project, SharePoint, etc.
  • Solid grasp and demonstrated results in sustainable sourcing, supplier diversity and reporting.

Required Skills, Experience & Education

  • 10 years of leadership experience in a Purchasing/Supply Chain role with specific experience in defining, developing, and maturing Purchasing organizations, processes, and tools.
  • Bachelor's degree from a college or university required, MBA is preferred, or relevant combination of education and experience.
  • Background in Lean Six Sigma preferred.
  • Relevant certification(s) strongly preferred (ISM, APICS, CPM, CPSM, SPSM). PMP, PMI equivalent credential/training and blackbelt or greenbelt training/certification desired or a combination of demonstrable equivalent experience/training.
  • Must be computer literate and competent on both PC and Mac with software application proficiency, as well as various financial software programs and internet functions.

We are looking to strengthen our Carson Warehouse Team by adding an associate to work the evening shift in our distribution center. This is a full-time position with a Sunday through Thursday work schedule and work hours of 3:00 - 11:30 pm with possible overtime. Shift differential will be paid when working the evening shift. This position will also fill in for day shift vacation or sick time on an as needed basis.  Due to this, start times may vary occasionally.

Duties include building and palletizing loads for local distribution, loading and unloading trucks, counting inventory, and maintaining a clean and organzied warehouse. You must have 3 to 6 months related experience including forklift experience, ability to calculate basic math operations, and maintain routine paperwork. Heavy lifting is required. You should live within commuting distance of the Carson warehouse, possess a valid driver's license, and have a clean MVR.

Developing and implementing comprehensive Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs for all brewery equipment and instrumentation. Managing spare parts program. Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe maintenance shop area. Partnering with the Maintenance Manager to develop annual maintenance budgets and invoice management. Working with accounting to ensure all process maintenance work is assigned to proper costs centers and is administered according to company guidelines.

Supervisory responsibilities include training employees and assisting with planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Provides regular performance feedback to direct reports including reviews.

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; at least 5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer literacy, competent in internet and Microsoft software (Word and Excel). Some PLC/programming ability is preferred.

We are looking to add to its talented staff to assist in the operation of brewing and cellar equipment efficiently, accurately, and safely to produce quality beer according to our operating procedures and parameters. Must be able to work any shift in a 24-hour schedule.

Assistant Brewer: 3-6 months related experience and/or training.  This is an entry level position with potential for advancement to the right individual. The main responsibilities for this position include A LOT of cleaning, shoveling spent grain in the hot sun (on occasion), cleaning the spent grain and yeast area daily, setting up and then cleaning up taste panel, assisting with cask filling and packaging, scrubbing drains, running the floor cleaner, and pretty much anything and everything else that our brewers need assistance with. If you do a great job cleaning, you may be asked to assist with some Brewhouse operations (milling, mashing, boiling, etc), cellar-related operations (cell counting, yeast disposal, etc), packaging operations (keg cleaning and filling, carbonation, etc), and quality assurance operations (cell counts, pitch rates, test panel, etc). Must be able to accurately and legibly record daily record information, have excellent cleaning and organizing standards, and be efficient in the processing of all operations. A formal brewing education and/or work experience relative to the position is highly desirable.

Experience with social network measurement and listening tools (i.e. Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, YouTube Insights, Radian6, BuzzMetrics, Visible Technologies and Google Analytics).
